About

About Proper Gander Goose:

If you're involved in protesting the austerity measures imposed by governments on ordinary people while banks and corporations continue to thrive, this blog is for you. The idea is to collect as many free materials for creative protest in one place as we can.

What It's For and What It's Not For:

This blog is for plays, skits, performance texts of any kind, poems, songs, t-shirt and poster designs, cartoons, videos, and any other kind of creative materials. They don't have to be overtly (or covertly) political so long as the creators are willing to let people use them  free of charge for political purposes. These purposes could include leafletting, demonstrations, direct action, or fundraising for any of the above.

This blog is not for statistics, analysis, policy, nor for any kind of polemic that can't be performed for the enjoyment of an audience. There are plenty of other sites that do that very well, and you'll find many of them on or blogroll. If you have suggestions for more we should add, let us know at propergandergoose@gmail.com

This blog is based in the U.K. and intended primarily for use in protesting the cuts to public services and other forms of economic injustice in the U.K. but we welcome international contributions of any materials not under copyright and suitable for political use.

How To Contribute:

Simply send your work to: propergandergoose@gmail.com.  Depending on the volume of submissions, it may take a few days to put up but, provided it meets the criteria given above, put it up we will. We will attribute work to the creators, and ask anyone who uses it to do the same. We like Creative Commons and Copyleft but you can also just send us stuff with your permission to use it.

How To Find Things:

All materials will be on posterous, or another public site. You can download them from there. The links will be blogged, and the blog posts tagged with subject and artform (eg. NHS, skit) so you can find them easily.
